Week 22 from Hayden

Week 22 from Hayden (11 yo boy)

12/11/16

Today we went to Fremantle and I got three books.  Then we did the markets and Dad got new shoes.  Then we went to the Fremantle Prison and did two awesome tours!

13/11/16

Today we went to the Gravity Centre.  It was awesome.  There was a smoke ring cannon where one person stood 10m in front with a plastic cup on their head and a person pushed a button to put smoke from a smoke machine into a plastic cannon and then they wacked one end (it was covered by drum skin) and an orange smoke ring came out of the other end.  The idea was to knock the plastic cup off the person’s head.  Next there was a ball floating in what appeared to be mid air, what was really happening was a pressurized air cylinder pushing air out of the pipe at the ball which made it float.  Mum and I got four balls going at once! Next was a sheet of different metals with a cart at the top, when you let the cart go it changed speeds on the different metals!  Next was a G-force room – you spun yourself around until you had to stop otherwise you would spew.  My record was 1.476, you can qualify as an astronaut at 3.000 and the record set there was 4.8??.  Next up was an experiment with a pole and a piece of metal, the pole was attached to the roof on a rotating ball thing and the metal was attached to the floor. A person stood on one side of the metal sheet holding the pole and a person standing on the other side.  The person with the pole swings it at the other person but when it passes over the metal it stops dead (only an expression).  Next was the black hole, you put a ball in a net and it went around and around, it was fun to watch.

Today we went for a 15km walk and a scenic drive.  Then we went grocery shopping, we got some microwavable popcorn and chips.  Then we went for a swim!

Today we packed down and drove to Armadale to get peaches.  Then we went to Serpentine NP and all the walks were closed!  Then we went to Mandurah and setup.  We had a swim.  Dad got really sick

Today we cancelled all the things we were going to do because Dad was still sick and we had a rest day!

17/11/16

Today we went to Penguin Island and saw 12 captive little penguins and one wild little penguin!  Then we went and walked around the island and saw heaps of baby chicks!  On a cruise we saw dolphins and sea lions, they were massive!

18/11/16

Today we packed down and did a 14.6km walk.  Then we went to Dwellingup and got minimal supplies.  We are staying in Lane Poole Reserve!
