Hellfire Bay, Little Hellfire Bay and Lucky Bay; Cape Le
Grand National Park
A swim in the ocean this morning was a very refreshing way
to start the day. After breakfast, we
drove to Hellfire Bay. We walked from
Hellfire Bay most of the way to Le Grand Beach – the views were amazing.
Some parts of the walk were through bushland,
others on steep exposed rock. On the way
back we stopped at the far end of Hellfire Bay for a body surf – it was
fun! We then walked to Little Hellfire
Bay, which was also picturesque. We
returned to the van for lunch and a sleep.
We had a relaxing afternoon, reading books, eating treats, painted my
toenails, etc. We walked up to the rocks
that look out over the western end of Lucky Bay, and then had to rush back to
camp as Santa had arrived in the Parks and Wildlife Fire Truck. All the kids
thoroughly enjoyed this, as he went around the campground honking the horn and
throwing lollies. The presents have been
put under the Christmas tree, and this year the presents do truly overpower the
tree!... possibly because of the size of the tree.
