home 12:15 and headed to Pioneer Park, Landsborough for a farewell catch up
with friends from the UK and the Sunshine Coast. Pioneer Park Headed off at 2:30pm. Arrived in Hampton at 4:30pm. We have set up,
with the van still hitched to the car, in Chapman Park free overnight camping
area. One other van in, toilets very clean. Chapman Park

We
woke just after 6am. After doing our gym workouts, breakfast and packing up we
were away at 8:20am. We encountered some roadworks between Toowoomba and
Goondiwindi. After refuelling in Goondiwindi,
we continued south to Moree. Unfortunately, we spent quite some time stuck
behind two separate vehicles that were travelling more than 30km/h below the speed
limit, as well as several areas of roadworks. After a late lunch the plan was
to relax at the Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre – however it was closed this week
for maintenance. Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre After reviewing our options,
we decided to head to Pilliga Artesian Bore Baths. On the way we saw a few emus in the fields
near the road. We arrived about 4pm and set up camp. This is a very popular spot. We enjoyed a
soak in the Artesian Bore Pool before watching the beautiful outback dusk and
