Week 13 from Hayden

Week 13 from Hayden (10 yo boy)

10/09/16

Today we got up and went to Dillie Gorge and kayaked down it.  Then we went to Grevillea Gorge and climbed down the waterfalls and had a swim.  It was freezing.

11/09/16

Today we packed up and drove to Mornington and did some walks. Dad paddled us down Dimond Gorge and it was great, it looked like some scenery from the Hobbit.

12/09/16

Today we packed down and did the rest of the walks, then we drove to Silent Grove, which isn’t very silent due to me.  We saw Sam again, and Sam and Evie slept in my tent!

13/09/16

Today we drove out to Bell Gorge and spent the day there.  Evie slept in my tent, Sam couldn’t make it.

14/09/16

Today we packed up and drove to Windjama Gorge and did the walk.  The gorge reminded me of the Gates of Mordore, from the Lord of the Rings.

15/09/16

Today we packed down and drove to Tunnel Creek and walked through it.  There were four crocs (freshwater).  Then we drove through Fitzroy Crossing and to Derby.

16/09/16

Today we went and watched low tide, it took 30 minutes to travel over 10m.  Then we went to the Prison Tree and the Aboriginal Art Gallery.  Then I did some school work. Then we went and watched high tide, it was 50m further inland than low tide.  Then we went to the library, and then we did some more school work.
