Annie Creek Trail and Cadjeput Waterhole, Mornington
Wilderness Camp; Imintji and Silent Grove, King Leopold Ranges Conservation
Park; Gibb River Road
This morning I went for a walk on my own along the Annie
Creek Trail, where I was able to observe many birds and listen to many hundred
birds. https://www.australianwildlife.org/where-we-work/mornington-marion-downs-2/mornington-wilderness-camp/ https://trailswa.com.au/trails/annies-creek-trail-mornington-wilderness-camp-kimberley After breakfast and packing the
van down, we drove out to the lookout.
We then went to Cadjeput, a point along the Fitzroy River, which was
really pretty. There was lovely shade and plenty of birds to watch while we had
morning tea.

We then headed out of Mornington Wilderness Camp, taking the long driveway through farmland and stopping to take photos of the King Leopold Ranges along the way. On the way, we stopped to remove a rock from our roof, it had landed with a thud and was rattling around – it was one rock, approximately a 2cm equilateral triangular pyramid – very lucky this landed on the roof rather than through a window. At the turnoff we stopped for a quick lunch, before driving east on the Gibb River Road again. We stopped off at Imintji Community Store to have a look – Hayden and Drew both used the book exchange – Hayden scored a copy of 78 Storey Treehouse, he was impressed. http://www.imintji.com.au/ Next stop, was Silent Grove in the King Leopold Ranges Conservation Park, where we have camped for the night.
