We walked through Wildflower Valley and then on to the Bindoola Gorge Lookout. The view from here was quite picturesque. The countryside here is quite different in appearance to near El Questro, the dirt is a great mix of colours, red, white, and dull grey and produces an extremely fine dust; also the vegetation is an open savannah rather than the denser vegetation. After the lookout, we headed back toward the Station complex and then veered off into the gorge. The base of the gorge was very wide and surprisingly sandy. We then had a lovely swim and lunch. In the afternoon we drove 16km west to Bindoola Falls, which have a large deep waterhole at the base. Looking at the terrain and escarpment the waterfall must only flow briefly but would be gorgeous. We then had a look at Nyarli Lagoon, which was very still and reflective. Quite a peaceful spot. Today has been the coolest day we have had in the last several weeks – it had a breeze most of the day and although it was very humid the temperature only got into the low 30’s. https://www.hvstation.com.au/
