We drove from Mount Isa to just south of Tennant Creek,
crossing into NT and leaving Queensland for the next 6 plus months. I must say
the roads in NT are general in a better state than QLD. The speed limit also
changed to 130 km/h, but I only did that once, downhill with a tail wind. We
spent the night in a free camp ground at “The Pebbles”. The camp ground is
nice, but the rock formations were just beautiful. We also had our first fire
for the trip, although I must say we had a communal fire. This is also the
first day of my head cold gratefully given to me by Tracy. Night time temperatures
are also starting to get very low, around 5 degrees Celsius.
