10/7/2016. To Kings Canyon

We had planned to leave early however it rain heavily in the early hours, so we did not get away until 9:00am exactly. We drove straight to Kings Canyon, and stopped in at Kathleen Springs for a 45 minutes’ walk up a gorge. We then went to the Kings Canyon Resort and booked in the unpowered sites. $50 per night, ouch. We drove the 10km back to Kings Canyon and did the creek walk which around took under an hour. Then back to the van and had a hot shower, and feed. We plan to pack up early and complete the rim walk tomorrow.
