Christmas Day! I had hoped for a
sleep in, but apparently even teenagers are still excited for Christmas
morning. After Santa presents and
breakfast, we drove to Buddong Falls. https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/things-to-do/walking-tracks/buddong-falls-walking-track
The Upper Buddong Falls were a fairly standard waterfall; however, the
Lower Buddong Falls were spectacular.
These drop 60m, but are made up of many tiers and branches, making a
very complex waterfall.
A festive lunch was had back at
the campground. We explored Jounama
Creek before returning to our waterhole at camp to swim, read and eat the
afternoon away. Hayden has made a really
good deep spot for us to swim with his dam construction over the last several
evenings. A very relaxing family
afternoon.
