28 October - Kalbarri and Kalbarri National Park

Kalbarri and Kalbarri National Park

This morning we headed south toward the town of Kalbarri.  I finally took the opportunity to take a photo of the street lighting at an intersection on the highway – W.A. is well ahead in using renewable energy with the street lighting set up with a solar panel and wind turbine each, at least in the non-metropolitan areas.

We stopped off at one section of Kalbarri National Park to look at Hawks Head lookout and walk down from the Ross Graham lookout to the Murchison Riverbed.

In Kalbarri we are staying at Kalbarri Tudor Caravan Park for the next few days. https://kalbarritudor.com.au/ After setting up we investigated the town and posted Hayden’s school work to his teacher – yeah! We also had a look at the Blue Holes – the brochures say you can snorkel here, but in the current weather it is way to wild for me!  https://www.australiascoralcoast.com/destination/kalbarri/blue-holes
This would be a pretty spot to photograph in still weather – but I am not sure they do no wind days in this part of the world.
