Today we toured the Mary Valley.

Our first stop
was Kenilworth for Kenilworth Bakery's delicious sausage rolls, followed by
Kenilworth Dairy for smooth rich chocolate mousse.

Continuing
north through Imbil and Kandanga towards Gympie we enjoyed moody clouds over
rolling hills.
In Gympie we visited the Woodworks Museum and Interpretative Centre to learn about the timber industry throughout the Gympie and Sunshine Coast regions. There was so much information available.

We then
drove up to the Gold Mining Museum area where the flood markers are. Looking at
the buildings we could see the dirty water line from this year’s flooding –
well above 1898 levels but not as high as 1893.
Last up for the day was Owen Guns Museum. I know very little about firearms but felt these were very well displayed to be able to see large numbers of weapons while still being able to see the differences between individual weapons.
