Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology, plus Bribie Island Water Towers

 4 July 2022

Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology was today’s destination. This is a remarkable museum – it is quite small; however it has a remarkably high calibre of exhibits. The majority of the information is Eurocentric and presented in a clear timeline with explanation of societal structures and norms at the time. There are also sections on other geographical area, and social systems and empires.  Unfortunately, the church was not open today and as it was very wet weather, I did not have a detailed look at the exterior.

We also looked at the silo art on the water towers of Bribie Island.
