Today's carpark was at the Kawana Surf  Club.

We walked to Kawana Bus Station and caught buses to get to Mudjimba, where we had concluded yesterday's walk.

From Mudjimba we walked south along the beach to  Maroochy River Conservation  and through the park to Twin Waters.  From there we headed along beside the Sunshine Motor Way to Maroochy River.

After crossing the river we followed the river to Cotton Tree and then around to Maroochy Surf Club where we stopped for a picnic lunch.

From Maroochy Surf Club, we continued south along the beach again.  From here Point Cartwright looked so close!  Up and over Alexandra Headland to Mooloolaba Spit.

The path then detours inland to cross the Mooloolah River and along Nicklin Way to Point Cartwright Drive before reaching La Balsa Park.  This allowed us to follow the Mooloolah River to Point Cartwright and then around onto the beach at Buddina.

This section of beach is much more exposed than any of the previous almost two days walk, with much rougher beaches.  We did not take a lot of photos on this section as there was a rescue and continuing search going on in the ocean until the light failed.  One person was rescued but the chopper, IRB and jet skis continued to search until it was too dark to see. Please swim between the flags, the Sunshine Coast has had so many rescues this summer.
