Kerosene Tin Hut, Morven |
This
morning we packed up and were on our way by 8:15am, driving to
Charleville. Both Drew and I got the
opportunity to overtake with the camper trailer on and meet our first road
trains. We stopped off in Morven to see
the Kerosene Tin Hut – these were built during the depression and very few
remain.
We arrived at the Charleville Information
Centre mid-afternoon. https://www.murweh.qld.gov.au/visitor-information-centre
We booked a tour
of the Cosmos Centre Observatory and then drove out of town to Thurlby Station,
where we are staying at the Evening Star Caravan Park. Unfortunately, the Observatory tour was
cancelled due to cloud. Instead, we
joined other campers at the communal campfire area for a beer (Drew) and
lemonade (Hayden and Tracy).
