24 June 2018 - Toowoomba and Jondaryan
Toowoomba was this morning’s destination. I bought a second-hand Ecopot Thermal Cooker. The Queensland Museum’s Cobb & Co Museum was an interesting insight into life and transport in all its forms prior to motors. I had not realised how many different “trucks” there were – drays, carts, table top lorries, German carts, etcetera. We also saw people working in the blacksmith shop, learning how to make metal chairs.
Lunch was a picnic in Queen’s Park, then off
to the Japanese Gardens. The Japanese
Gardens are at the University of Southern Queensland – they are beautiful and
well maintained.

When we got back to
Jondaryan I took Hayden to the animal nursery.
I then spent a pleasant time on my own looking through the woolshed and
other old buildings and taking photos. Tonight,
we were joined in the paddock by three Clydesdales.
Not really noticing the school holiday crowds!
